The Llama Project is a Canada-Mexico Collaboration that brings together artists from Mexico and Canada, first in Oaxaca, Mexicon then in Whitehorse, Yukon to create work on themes of environment, migration, culture, home, and endangered species. MAP Communications Consulting produced podcasts in English and Spanish to deepen the experience for viewers.
The Llama exhibition Voz/Voice: The arts of resistance and resilience. includes installation, mixed media, ceramics, and photography. After its exhibition in the Yukon, the Llama exhibit will travel to Pachuca, Mexico and onward. Llama, by the way, stands for Listen, learn, and make art.
